The Miami-Dade Circuit judge who presided over the landmark trial that delivered a $145 billion verdict against the tobacco industry has died, the court confirmed Thursday.
Retired Judge Robert Kaye died Feb. 8 in Ocala at age 86, according to the Miami Herald, which first reported the news Thursday.
