He's Suing The Palm Beach Post For Libel

, Daily Business Review

Traffic attorney William Abramson is suing the Palm Beach Post over an article that he claims falsely said he had been disbarred.

What's being said

  • It doesn‘t matter.

It‘s public information. Anyone could have found the info on their own so its not libel. The public needs to know about the attorneys backgrounds, just like reports about doctors and police officers. He‘s suing just because he‘s an attorney and it does not cost him anything. Anyone else would not get to have access to sue for libel or defamation. I hope the Palm Beach Post keeps writing about this guy. Go PBP.

  • Words matter

Why didn‘t the Post just run a correction? Disbarred generally means to have your law license permanently revoked. At least that‘s what most people think of it is. That‘s different than being suspended.
