Sedgwick Moves Miami Office To One Biscayne Tower
The new Miami office of Sedgwick, a San Francisco-based law firm, and Veritext Legal Solutions, a deposition and litigation support firm, are moving to One Biscayne Tower in downtown Miami.
The 10-year leases at 15,000 square feet for Sedgwick and 12,000 square feet for Veritext have a combined value of $9 million.
Sedgwick acquired the Miami law firm of Abadin Cook earlier this year, making Miami its 16th office worldwide and its second in South Florida. The firm had an existing office in Fort Lauderdale.
Veritext has five South Florida offices and is expanding.
These two deals are the fourth and fifth major deals at the 29-floor tower at 2 S. Biscayne Blvd. in recent months. Other new tenants include Northwestern Mutual and law firms Peretz Chesal Herrman and Young, Bill, Roumbos & Boles.
Ryan Holtzman of Taylor & Mathis is the building's leasing director.
Catarina Jimenez of Jones Lang LaSalle represented Sedgwick, while Ryan Ackerman of CBRE represented Veritext.
