Holly Skolnick, a Miami shareholder at Greenberg Traurig who worked on the defense in William Kennedy Smith’s rape trial among other high-profile litigation, died Sunday after a battle with skin cancer, the firm confirmed. She was 59.

Skolnick, former chair of the Miami’s office securities litigation practice, specialized in complex civil and criminal regulatory matters and also was chair of the firm’s pro bono program and was involved in civil rights and immigrations issues.
