Depositions in the Miccosukee Indians’ legal malpractice lawsuit against former tribal attorneys Guy Lewis and Michael Tein are not to be released, a special master has ruled.

"Given the sensitive nature of this case and the great amount of attention that the press has given to it, the discovery process should be protected. Unlike court proceedings, discovery is not public record," wrote former Miami-Dade Circuit Judge Ellen Leesfield, who since February has been special master in the case.
