A Miami district judge upheld U.S. Bankruptcy Judge A. Jay Cristol’s dismissal of an involuntary Chapter 7 case against the owner of a northwest Miami-Dade County shopping center.
U.S. District Judge K. Michael Moore on Thursday denied the appeal by Branch Banking & Trust Co., which filed the Chapter 7 petition against C&C Development Group LLC in August 2011. Cristol in May granted C&C’s motions for dismissal and abstention in the bankruptcy case.
