Greenberg Traurig, accused of malpractice in its representation of Jupiter-based biotechnology company Dyadic International Inc., asserts financial problems experienced by the company are the responsibility of its founder Mark Emalfarb as well as former officers at Dyadic and its Hong Kong-based subsidiary, Puridet Asia Ltd.
The Miami-based law firm made its assertions in a response to an amended lawsuit brought against the firm by Dyadic. The response, filed Aug. 22 by Gerald Richman of Richman Greer in West Palm Beach, says Emalfarb knew as early as 1998 when he bought an interest in Puridet that its management engaged in improper accounting and tax practices.
