A Florida jury in the fourth bellwether trial over 3M’s dual-ended combat earplugs awarded $8.2 million on Friday, the largest verdict to date in the litigation.

Friday’s verdict for plaintiff Brandon Adkins comes after two weeks of testimony and is larger than previous awards of $7.1 million on April 30 to three plaintiffs and $1.7 million to one plaintiff in a June 18 decision finding 3M was 62% liable. 3M won a defense verdict on May 28.
