Two South Florida attorneys have been disciplined by the Florida Supreme Court.

Heather Joy Sykes of Pembroke Pines has been disbarred. She was hired to collect rents and hold the money in her trust account. She agreed to remit more than $26,000 to the client but failed to do so despite repeated demands. Sykes subsequently admitted misappropriating the funds for her own use.
