Lawyers from Fort Lauderdale, Tampa and Jacksonville are running for president-elect of The Florida Bar in what is only the second three-way presidential race in Bar history.
Before Wednesday’s filing deadline, Gwynne Young of Carlton Fields in Tampa, John “Jake” Schickel of Coker Schickel Sorenson & Posgay in Jacksonville and Walter “Skip” Campbell of Krupnick Campbell Malone Buser Slama Hancock Liberman and McKee had gathered the required signatures to run for president-elect, who serves as president 2012-13. Ballots will be mailed out to 90,000 Bar members March 1 and are due March 21.
