Miami Gardens prevailed in a wage dispute with a former crime analyst.

Wanda Gilbert alleged her former employer violated the U.S. Fair Labor Standards Act and the Miami-Dade County wage theft ordinance by failing to pay for all hours worked from November 2007 to November 2010. She alleged she worked as a crime analyst for at least 47.5 hours per week but was paid for only 40 hours per week. She sought back wages for each hour worked over 40 hours during the specified period.
