A Jupiter police dispatcher has received a six-figure award in a retaliation case blaming the police chief for unwanted advances.
Tara Luscavich claimed she was harassed and touched inappropriately at a March 2011 party attended by other Tequesta Police Department employees. She said then-Police Chief Pete Pitocchelli harassed her and touched her after she went to a bedroom to rest when feeling ill, causing her to leave the party. Luscavich claimed Pitocchelli later interfered with work training opportunities and denied her a promotion in retaliation.
