A driver has lost a damages suit after claiming injury in car collisions two years apart.
Christine Bright said a vehicle hit her vehicle’s rear end in Jupiter in 2008 and another rear-ended it in Jensen Beach in 2010. Bright claimed herniated discs at C2-3, C3-4, C4-5, L4-5 and L5-S1. Both of the other motorists were underinsured, so Bright sought coverage on underinsured motorist claims. A damages trial was held after New Jersey Manufacturers Insurance Co. conceded negligence in one case and a directed verdict was issued against 21st Century Centennial Insurance Co. in the other.
