The television company Caribevision Holdings Inc. won a $58.4 million verdict against its partner in a joint venture to broadcast Spanish-language programming in Miami, New York and Puerto Rico.
Caribevision convinced a Miami-Dade Circuit Court jury Nov. 2 that America-CV CEO Omar Romay breached the joint venture agreement by acting without board approval to try to increase his stake in the company to 80 percent from 50 percent.
