A jury has turned back a nurse’s claim that a Tampa hospital failed to accommodate her.

Leokadia Bryk, a nurse who was terminated by St. Joseph Hospital, required the use of a cane to walk following hip surgery and claimed the hospital did not reasonably accommodate her by letting her walk with a cane during psychiatric department work in 2011. The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, on behalf of Bryk, sued St. Joseph alleging violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act.
