A construction company was exonerated in the death of a horse kept in a barn at a site where the company worked.

Marcia J. Radosevich alleged her equestrian horse Roani, a great-grandson of Secretariat, arguably the greatest horse in thoroughbred racing history, was injured after stepping on roofing tiles. Roani, who developed severe founder disease, was euthanized in 2009 to put the animal out of its misery. Radosevich sued Dreamstar Custom Homes Inc. for failing to maintain a reasonably safe condition while building a new horse barn.
