A Miami woman who claimed she fractured a hip while two MCT Express ambulance attendants were transferring her to her bed recovered $300,263.
Fanny Lozano, then 69, was being transferred from a stretcher to her bed at home after her discharge from Baptist Hospital in Miami following a left hip replacement. She alleged one of the attendants dropped her, causing her to break her right hip. One of the attendants testified it was a routine transport and transfer to the bed and no incident occurred.
