A man who claimed that he suffered neck and lower back injuries in a multiple-vehicle collision recovered $185,806.
Otis Blocker, then 28, was driving his 1996 Ford Crown Victoria sedan on Sheridan Street near Northwest 23rd Avenue in Pembroke Pines when he was rear-ended by a 2005 Mazda sedan driven by Bernadette Tanzi, who pushed his car into the back of a sedan in front of him. Blocker was diagnosed with disc herniations at C3-4, C4-5 and C5-6 and a disc bulge at L4-5. Blocker claimed Tanzi was not paying attention.
