A jury found a physician was not negligent caring for a patient whose family alleged undiagnosed coronary heart disease led to his death.

Robert Wolf, 77, called his doctor, Jerome Reich in North Miami Beach, complaining of vomiting. Reich visited Wolf’s Hialeah home, diagnosed an upset stomach and prescribed medications. He advised Wolf to go to a hospital if he continued vomiting. Reich left the home at 9:40 a.m. At 11 a.m., Wolf collapsed and died. The estate claimed Wolf died of cardiac arrest brought on by gastrointestinal bleeding.
