A jury found a supermarket was not liable for a patron’s neck and back herniations that he claimed occurred after he fell outside the store.

Rubio Valeriano, then 61, alleged he slipped and fell on grapes while walking near a shopping cart ramp outside a Western Beef supermarket in Boca Raton. He claimed Western Beef had notice that grapes were on the sidewalk. He claimed the store failed to maintain its premises in a reasonably safe condition.
