Lawyers for plaintiffs in Florida’s citrus canker litigation are headed back to court after seeing Gov. Rick Scott’s budget.

Scott on Friday vetoed the Legislature’s $37.4 million appropriation for homeowners in Broward and Lee counties whose healthy citrus trees were cut down decades ago as part of the Florida Department of Agriculture’s efforts to eradicate citrus canker. The amount reflected judgments entered in 2008 and 2014.
