Broward Circuit Judge Dale Ross accepted a settlement Wednesday between the Broward supervisor of elections and Citizens for Broward’s Children Inc. on how to address a county issue on next week’s ballot.

The nonprofit organization was concerned about the placement of its request titled “Reauthorization of the Children’s Services Council of Broward County,” which is on a second sheet directly below a state constitutional amendment that proposes giving the governor authority to prospectively fill vacancies to judicial office when a judge will retire during the term because of age or for failing to qualify for retention.
