Architect Charles Sieger secured a nod from the Miami’s Urban Development Review Board for a 78-story rental tower that would bring 482 units to downtown Miami.

Liquid Lofts would top out at 866 feet, dwarfing the relatively small-scale buildings around it. It would be the tallest residential high-rise in the city. The Four Seasons Hotel now reigns as the tallest building in Miami at 789 feet. Other planned nonresidential spires include Brickell City Centre’s 1,049-feet tower, Tibor Hollo’s 1,010-foot One Bayfront Plaza and Jeff Berkowitz’s 1,000-foot SkyRise Miami.
