Larkin Community Hospital gained an additional 247 beds in its $40 million acquisition of Palm Springs General Hospital in Hialeah.
The deal closed Feb. 1, said Gary Matzner, a partner with Coral Gables-based Kopelowitz Ostrow. He and colleague Marshall Burack represented Larkin, a for-profit hospital based in South Miami, in what turned out to be a seven-month transaction.
