To give buyers an idea of what multimillion-dollar condos will look like, South Florida developers have learned to spare no expense on flashy videos, 3D renderings, model showrooms and virtual-reality walkthroughs. But the boutique developer of Golden Beach pulled out all the stops by building an $8 million house to show prospective buyers what their future homes will look like.
The strategy paid off for Miami Golden LLC last month, when it sold two unbuilt homes on Golden Beach at 240 and 250 Ocean Blvd. for a combined total of $10.4 million. The deal has not been recorded, but Jacob Abramson, Miami Golden’s director of operations, told the Daily Business Review they went to a foreign buyer with multiple residences worldwide.
