For the second time in as many months, the Third District Court of Appeal ruled Wednesday in favor of power commercial real estate broker Edie Laquer.

The court ordered a retrial in a dispute over a Hurricane Wilma homeowner insurance claim filed by Laquer. Judges found the lower court erred in determining Laquer did not provide “prompt notice” to her insurance company, Citizens Property Insurance Corp., when she filed for water damage in her condo unit years after the storm.
