When shared office space company WeWork opens in Miami Beach in July, the company is hoping its four-floor, 40,000-square-foot facility at 350 Lincoln Road becomes a landmark for the South Florida tech scene.
Matt Shampine, a co-founder and vice president of business development, said he expects up to 750 “members” will be able to work out of the shared desks, private offices and other communal space WeWork is building on South Beach. The sheer volume of entrepreneurs could turn Lincoln Road into an address people associate with small tech companies as much as with skimpily clad bodies and fishbowl size margaritas, he said.
