Terranova Corp., one of South Florida’s largest urban street retail landlords, says pent-up demand for high-end Miami Beach space is causing it to take the roof off buildings in the Lincoln Road shopping district.

The company is shelling out $30 million to spruce up and expand two buildings along Meridian Avenue and Lincoln Lane, about one block from Lincoln Road’s glitzy storefronts and a massive acreage earmarked by Miami Beach city officials for hotel, retail and convention center redevelopment.
