The proposed $121 million redevelopment of the city-owned Miami Marine stadium on Virginia Key was scrapped Thursday just hours before city commissioners were due to consider the deal.
The move is a sudden turnabout for the concept unveiled Monday, which proposed a 125,000-square-foot marine-focused exposition and retail center, acres of exposition grounds and a private drydock on the 56-acre stadium property on Biscayne Bay.
