A corporate officer of one of the proposed Miami Marine Stadium redevelopment companies filed for personal bankruptcy protection shortly before the company asked to lead the proposed $121 million project.
Federico Coupe, a Miami financier listed as vice president and chief financial officer of Expo-Miami Inc., filed a Chapter 13 petition Oct. 15, court records show. The filing, which was dismissed this month because Coupe didn’t provide the necessary documentation, follows years of fighting off mortgage, credit card, business and other personal creditors in court.
