Developer Barbara Salk spent over a decade working for Miami condo king Jorge Perez, as senior vice president of a division that profited off the last real estate boom and had to clean up the mess from the bust.
In 2013, Salk formed a development company with construction executive Stephen Kornfeld. She has now partnered with REIT Encore Housing Opportunity Fund to build the 36-story Ion condominium tower at 2701 Biscayne Blvd. in Miami’s Edgewater neighborhood. Salk sat down for some questions with the Daily Business Review.
