A downtown Miami gym popular with bankers and attorneys shut down and will be replaced by an edgier fitness brand.
The Downtown Athletic Club on the 15th floor of the Southeast Financial Center annex closed Sunday with a brief notice to members. By Monday morning, a banner over the wood-paneled lobby announced plans to open the DavidBartonGym, a glam workout center whose locations “look nothing like your living room,” according to its corporate website.
