A student housing complex in Sweetwater graduated to the big leagues, attracting a major national investor who paid $43.5 million for the site near Florida International University.
The buyer was 109 Tower FL LLC, a company linked to Memphis-based Education Realty Trust Inc., which acquires, develops and manages housing near university campuses. It paid RRAC University Apartments LLC just under $80,260 for each of the 542 bedrooms at 109 Tower student apartments at 737 SW 109th Ave.
