The city of Miami has taken a deep-water boat slip and part of Museum Park off the table as a possible stadium location for David Beckham’s Major League Soccer team.
Mayor Tomas Regalado and City Manager Daniel Alfonso nixed the downtown site in a meeting Tuesday morning with the retired soccer star’s real-estate adviser, John Alschuler. The city officials said it wasn’t a good location for a 20,000 seat stadium.
