A state appellate court Wednesday shaved $2 million from an award for a restaurant evicted from the Palm Beach Gardens Embassy Suites hotel.

The Fourth District Court of Appeal affirmed a lower court finding that the landlords improperly evicted hotel operator and caterer, Nantucket Enterprises Inc., in 2008. It upheld Palm Beach Circuit Judge Meenu Sasser’s directed verdict, but trimmed nearly 19 percent from a $10.8 million award by reversing the restaurant’s winning conversion claim.
