Former Miami budget director Michael Boudreaux will not have to pay $450,000 or face a permanent injunction for violating securities laws.

U.S. District Judge Cecilia Altonaga decided Monday on a penalty of just $15,000 against Boudreaux, who according to jury findings acted recklessly in recommending the transfers of funds between accounts. She ruled there was no evidence Boudreaux tried to hide the transfers or personally profited from them.
