A South Florida family that is refusing to sell a vacation townhouse to one of the world’s largest timeshare companies is suing Orange County in an effort to stop the company from continuing construction on a timeshare tower just 12 feet from the townhouse.

The family of Julieta Corredor said in a lawsuit filed last week that the plan to build the timeshare tower under construction by Westgate Resorts violates the county’s comprehensive plan. A comprehensive plan for a municipality or county guides development and sets standards for such things as utilities, transportation and housing.
