A White & Case team led by former Florida Supreme Court Justice Raoul Cantero won an unusual federal appellate court reversal when the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit reinstated a trade secrets case without holding oral argument, setting aside an Orlando federal judge’s decision.
The case was filed by Virginia-based DynCorp International, which provides aviation, logistics, training, intelligence and operational services. DynCorp alleged three former employees who left to work for AAR Airlift Group shared trade secrets to help their new employer nab a lucrative WorldWide Aviation Support Services (WASS) contract with the U.S. Department of State. DynCorp held the contract for 23 years.
