Broward Circuit Judge John Patrick Contini admits he violated rules for judicial conduct but denies several ethics charges leveled against him over fallout from an ex parte email he sent to an assistant public defender.
Contini admitted “exhibiting discourteous, impatient and undignified conduct and making insulting and disparaging remarks” after the email was disclosed, according to the judge’s response filed Wednesday. But Contini disagreed that he should have disqualified himself or that his behavior impinged on his quasijudicial and extrajudicial activities.
