A state appeals court on Tuesday tossed out a judge’s order that the Palm Beach Post remove transcripts of telephone conversations from a story on its website about a jailhouse “snitch” and his cooperation with prosecutors.

The Fourth District Court of Appeal sided with the newspaper after newspaper attorney Martin Reeder of Reeder & Reeder in Jupiter argued Circuit Judge Jack Schramm Cox’s order last month was improper prior restraint on the paper’s First Amendment right to publish information.
