The Florida Bar has found probable cause to launch an ethics investigation of two Miami lawyers for their representation of a family that sued the Miccosukee tribe for damages after a member was convicted of drunken-driving manslaughter.

Disciplinary cases against Ramon Rodriguez and Jose “Pepe” Herrera are moving forward following the probable cause finding by a local grievance committee, Florida Bar spokeswoman Francine Walker said Friday. The Florida Supreme Court will appoint a referee to hear the cases.
