A West Palm Beach attorney and his firm will face sanctions after a bankruptcy judge decided the firm pursued a baseless motion to disqualify opposing counsel.
Commercial litigator L. Louis Mrachek of Mrachek, Fitzgerald, Rose, Konopka, Thomas & Weiss was hit with the order July 27, about nine months after he stepped in to replace attorneys representing a company owned by wealthy West Palm Beach businessman Peter Halmos.
