A federal judge agrees with a magistrate that a Fort Lauderdale lawyer must be disqualified from representing a whistleblower in a case against his former firm’s client.
U.S. District Judge Robin Rosenberg on Thursday accepted U.S. Magistrate Judge James Hopkins’ recommendation that Parker Eastin has a conflict of interest. Eastin of Nicholson & Eastin filed a lawsuit for Tiffany Bumbury alleging her ex-employer Med-Care Diabetic & Medical Supplies Inc. ran a high-pressure telemarketing operation that pushed unneeded medical equipment.
