David Rothenberg, an attorney who worked at two large regional law firms, was sentenced Friday to 17.5 years in prison after pleading guilty in June to child pornography charges.

U.S. District Judge William Zloch in Fort Lauderdale gave Rothenberg a 210-month sentence after he pleaded guilty in June to charges of possessing more than 1,000 images and videos containing child pornography. A graphic criminal complaint filed against Rothenberg by federal prosecutors in February accused him of accessing online chatrooms with the usernames “BadUncle” and “DRoth” to exchange links showing minors being sexually abused.
