Cuban-born U.S. citizens who filed a class action lawsuit against Carnival Corp. and a subsidiary for refusing bookings on its inaugural cruise to Cuba asked to dismiss the case following policy changes by the cruise operator and Cuba.

The discrimination suit filed in Miami federal court on behalf of Amparo Sanchez and Francisco Marty argued Carnival’s policy of banning bookings by Cuban-born U.S. citizens because of Cuban restrictions treated them like second-class citizens.
