The dispute between Gov. Rick Scott and suspended Broward Health chairman David Di Pietro made it into court for the first time Friday with a hearing before Broward Circuit Judge Carol-Lisa Phillips.
Di Pietro wants Phillips to quash the governor’s order suspending him from the hospital’s board amid allegations he steered contracts, intimidated employees and orchestrated the removal of CEO Kevin Fusco and general counsel Lynn Barrett, who reportedly clashed with him over an FBI investigation into fraud at the public hospital group.
