A West Palm Beach federal judge has approved a plan to repay victims of a $68 million affinity Ponzi scheme that targeted working-class Haitian-Americans in South Florida.

The receiver for the companies involved in the scheme plans to distribute more than $5 million to victims after years of working to increase an asset pool that started at $28,000. The plan was approved March 29 by U.S. District Senior Judge Daniel T.K. Hurley.
