A failed vote on a land purchase persuaded a Pompano Beach condominium association to switch from paper to electronic ballots and use a new software offering from the attorneys at Becker & Poliakoff.

Palm-Aire Country Club Condominium Association No. 4 Inc. needed 75 percent of its 768 unit owners to spend $1.5 million for about 90 acres of lakes surrounding its property. But two weeks before the April 14 deadline, more than 420 members had still not cast votes.
