A Florida Bar referee’s report released Friday recommended permanent disbarment and nearly $1.4 million in penalties for ousted Broward Circuit Judge Laura Watson.
Watson was removed from the bench June 18 for misconduct with misdirected attorney fees in insurance litigation before she became a judge. Her judicial disciplinary case transformed into a bar disciplinary investigation afterward.
