A roofer who told a lawyer-client, “Pay your f—ing bill!” and “Don’t be a f—ing schlub!” did not violate debt collection laws, a Miami-Dade circuit appellate panel found.

Consumer protection attorney Rami Shmuely sued roofer Salomon Susi and his company for using “profane, obscene, vulgar or willfully abusive” language to collect the debt, which Shmuely argued was against state law.
